We offer a different slant on conventional manufacturing by recycling and up-cycling. We like to call it manufacturing with a conscience.
ALL of our paintings,handmade and up-cycled items are one of a kind.

To keep prices low without compromising on style, originality and individuality which tend to be lost when purchasing mass manufactured items.
To provide an excellent level of customer service and choice. We do not purchase items made in China.

The Company
The Aesthetes is currently a small UK based business which sells handmade or hand sourced pieces for the home. Everything is made and sourced in the UK. All these departments have traded online separately between 2005-2009. We are saying currently based in the UK as we have been advised to open a shop to work along with the online store, but we know, for that to happen we wouldn't be able to achieve this in the UK.
After a year online we have changed our store into an e-boutique.
We have two galleries offering original oil paintings - painted on stretched gallery canvasses, signed and dated on the back by the Artist. All paintings are one of a kind and the Artist refuses to have the images reproduced into prints- so your painting is truly exclusive.
We bring the antique and collectibles market into your home with Le Flea C'est Chic. Here you will find a selection of antiques,kitsch pieces, collectibles and decorative pieces all ready for you. There are also handmade one of a kind items here. There is a mix of used and unused items. We check for cracks etc before we list, any small characteristics will be mentioned in the description. The images of the items are of the actual items you will receive.
Curiously Off The Cuff offers items which are made from up-cycled materials which are handmade with a personal touch. These items are one of a kind as our products are either handmade or hand sourced and have an individual twist. Our motto is "if it ends up in landfill, we haven't done our job properly"
Our success is due to our ability to offer in vogue individual items at great prices, whilest still concentrating on a high level of service. We are able to offer highly competitive prices for original exclusive items.
Please note that there are people behind this website and it is not just another manufactured faceless online store.
We would prefer to have an excellent word of mouth reputation rather than spend thousands on advertising and then be mentioned in the consumer action group forums for appalling service.
Because we are a UK based and a UK business we follow ALL of the rules - Trading Standards, SOGA etc
